When You’re Out of Patience, Remember This…

🕌 When You’re Out of Patience, Remember This…

Have you ever had that one person who tests your patience?

Maybe it’s a family member who keeps repeating the same mistakes.

Maybe it’s a client who’s hard to please.

Or maybe… It’s someone close who doesn’t see your effort.

In those moments, take a breath and reflect on the wisdom of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (RA):

"When you no longer have patience with someone, think about how patient Allah is with you."

SubhanAllah. 🌙

This simple reminder hits deep.

We make mistakes. We forget. We fall short in our prayers, delay our obligations, and yet Allah continues to bless us, feed us, forgive us, and guide us—every single day.

🌿 Patience Is More Than Just Tolerance

Patience (sabr) is not just about gritting your teeth and enduring hardship. It’s about rising above, staying calm, choosing mercy, and acting with wisdom — even when it's easier to snap.

Allah tells us in the Qur’an:

“And be patient, for indeed, Allah is with the patient.”

(Surah Al-Anfal, 8:46)

And the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ beautifully said:

“The strong man is not the one who overcomes others by his strength, but the one who controls himself while in anger.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari, 6114)

💡 Here’s a Perspective Shift

When you’re about to lose your cool —

Pause.

And ask yourself:

🔹 “How many chances has Allah given me?”

🔹 “How many times have I been forgiven?”

🔹 “How much patience has been shown to me — by my Creator?”

The truth is… we all need that kind of mercy from others, too.

✨ Be the Patience You Wish to Receive

This doesn’t mean becoming a doormat. Patience includes setting boundaries with love, communicating with respect, and walking away with dignity when needed.

But don’t let someone else’s behavior push you into becoming someone you’re not.

As believers, we’re called to a higher standard.

🟢 CALL TO ACTION

Tag someone who needs this reminder.

Share this with your circle — you never know who’s quietly struggling to hold it all together.

Let’s revive the Sunnah of patience in our daily lives 💛
