The More We Learn, The More We Realize How Little We Know 🌱

At first glance, the more we learn, the more we feel we know. But then something profound happens—our mind expands, and suddenly we see how much more there is to understand. That’s the beauty of lifelong learning.

We begin with a small circle of knowledge, thinking it’s everything. But as that circle grows, so does the horizon of what lies beyond it.

That’s why we must stay hungry for knowledge.
Today, access to information is at our fingertips. With just a tap, we can explore history, science, languages, technology, and sacred wisdom. Yet, despite all we gain, we are constantly reminded how vast the ocean of knowledge truly is.

This realization isn’t a weakness—it’s a strength. It keeps us humble, grounded, and eager to keep going.

In Surah Al-Kahf (18:68), Allah SWT says about the journey of Prophet Musa (AS) seeking knowledge:

"And how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge?"
(Qur'an, 18:68)

This verse highlights that we are not meant to know everything, and that humility is a key ingredient in true learning. Even Prophet Musa (AS), one of the most knowledgeable men, was taught by Al-Khidr—a sign that no matter our rank or title, we still have more to learn.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also emphasized this when he said:

“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.”
(Hadith - Ibn Majah)

Not just for scholars. Not just for students. But for every single one of us.

So, What Can You Do Today?
I would like you to commit to learning something new every day. Even if it’s just a small insight or reminder.

Surround yourself with curious people. They’ll challenge your thinking and open your mind.

Make du’a for beneficial knowledge. As the Prophet ﷺ taught:

“O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah 925)
