🌸 Life is Like This Little Cat – Do Your Best, Leave the Rest to Allah SWT

There’s something beautifully honest about the picture of this little cat — sitting comfortably, eyes closed, wearing what seems to be the purest smile.

When I first saw it, I thought, “This is how life should be — simple, content, and full of trust.”

But then reality hits. Life is not always this serene. We live in a fast-paced world. We wake up to endless to-do lists, responsibilities, and challenges. We strive to balance work, family, relationships, and personal growth, all while navigating unexpected challenges that life presents.

The truth is:
We can do everything “right,” but still, things may not turn out exactly how we want. That’s because, in the end, the results are not in our control — they are in the hands of Allah SWT.

πŸ’‘ Remembering the Purpose of Life

Both our kesenangan (ease) and kesusahan (hardship) are temporary — and both are tests.

Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:

"And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient."
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:155)

When things go wrong, it’s a test of our patience (sabr).
When things go right, it’s a test of our gratitude (syukur).

The Prophet ο·Ί beautifully said:

"Amazing is the affair of the believer, for there is good for him in every matter… If he is happy, then he thanks Allah and there is good for him; if he is harmed, then he shows patience and there is good for him."
(Sahih Muslim)

🌿 Why We Forget

The scary part? We often forget these truths.

We get caught up in dunia — the deadlines, the competition, the social media comparisons.
We chase the next milestone without pausing to ask: Is this bringing me closer to Allah or further away?

In that rush, we sometimes measure our worth only by our worldly achievements, not by the state of our heart or our deeds for the akhirah.

πŸ•Š️ The Peace That Comes from Letting Go

When we truly practice tawakkul (placing our trust in Allah), we find peace.

Tawakkul doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means:

  1. Do your absolute best — with sincerity (ikhlas).

  2. Pray for guidance — even for small decisions.

  3. Let go of the anxiety of trying to control everything.

  4. Accept Allah’s decree — whether it matches your plans or not.

In Islam, we are even taught to perform Solat Istikharah when making important decisions, seeking clarity from the One who knows what we do not.

✨ A Gentle Reminder for You and Me

  • Be patient in trials.

  • Be grateful for blessings.

  • Keep your heart connected to the Qur’an and Sunnah.

  • Focus on what truly matters for your akhirah.

One day, these struggles, victories, and even the things that kept us awake at night will only be memories.

So, smile like this little cat. Trust that Allah’s plan is always better than yours — even when you don’t understand it yet.

πŸ“Œ Call to Action:
Pause today. Breathe. Reflect. Ask yourself: Am I living in a way that pleases Allah? If not, take one small step today to realign your heart and your actions.
