How to Use AI to Improve Your Writing Without Losing Your Voice

How to Use AI to Improve Your Writing Without Losing Your Voice

Writing is a timeless skill. It’s how we share ideas, inspire change, and leave a legacy. Behind every powerful speech, bestselling book, or impactful article is great writing.

But writing has never been easy. Ask any author or professional, and they’ve all faced the blank page struggle. Finding the right words, structuring thoughts, and making your message resonate takes time and practice.

Today, AI tools like ChatGPT have transformed the writing process. With just a few prompts, you can draft emails, create reports, and even write articles in minutes. But here’s the catch: if we let AI do all the thinking, we risk losing our creativity and individuality.

A Lesson from a Student’s Shortcut

Last year, a teacher shared a story that went viral:
A student submitted an essay that was flawless, almost too flawless. The vocabulary was advanced, the structure impeccable. Curious, the teacher asked, “Did you write this yourself?” The student admitted, “No, I used ChatGPT.”

While the essay was technically perfect, it lacked something essential: the student’s own voice and perspective. The teacher explained, “Writing isn’t about perfect grammar. It’s about how YOU see the world.”

This is the danger: if we use AI to replace our thinking, we become users, not creators.

A Professional’s Success Story

On the flip side, consider Sarah, a marketing manager at a growing startup. Her role demanded constant content creation: emails, blog posts, social media updates. Overwhelmed, she turned to AI, not to replace her ideas but to speed up execution.

Instead of spending hours on a blank page, Sarah drafted her main points, asked AI to structure them, and then refined the tone to fit her brand. The result? She doubled her content output and had time to focus on strategy. AI became her assistant, not her driver.

The Islamic Perspective

The Qur’an reminds us:

“And He taught man by the pen.” (Surah Al-‘Alaq 96:4)

This verse emphasizes that knowledge and writing are divine gifts. The Prophet ๏ทบ said:

“The best of people are those most beneficial to others.” (Hadith, Al-Mu’jam Al-Awsat)

Our words can benefit the world—but only if they come from us.

10 Practical Ways to Use AI for Writing

Here are strategies you can apply today:

Rephrase Sentences
Prompt: “Rephrase the following sentence in 5 different ways, maintaining its original meaning: [insert sentence]”

Proofread
Prompt: “Proofread my text for spelling and grammar and list all changes in bullet points: [insert text]”

Get Constructive Critique
Prompt: “Review this text and give me suggestions to improve clarity and structure: [insert text]”

Suggest Alternative Words
Prompt: “Provide 5 alternative words for [insert word] in this context: [insert sentence]”

Summarize Long Texts
Prompt: “Summarize this article into 3 bullet points: [insert text]”

Write in Bullets
Prompt: “Turn these bullet points into a coherent paragraph: [insert points]”

Change Tone & Style
Prompt: “Rewrite this text in a persuasive tone: [insert text]”

Use Templates
Prompt: “Fill this template using the following context: [insert template + context]”

Mimic a Writing Style
Prompt: “Rewrite this paragraph in the style of [author/genre]: [insert text]”

Apply Frameworks (PAS, AIDA, BAB)
Prompt: “Use the PAS framework to write a social media post about [topic].”

The Big Takeaway

AI is powerful, but it’s not a replacement for human creativity. You are the thinker, the visionary. AI is just an assistant.

Start by experimenting with small tasks: proofreading, summarizing, or rephrasing. Then, build up to frameworks and style adaptation. Always review and add your unique perspective.

Your words matter—make them yours.

๐ŸŒ™ Before You Sleep: A Sunnah Routine for Peaceful Rest

๐ŸŒ™ Before You Sleep: A Sunnah Routine for Peaceful Rest

One of the greatest nikmat (blessings) that Allah SWT has given us is sleep and nighttime. It may seem so simple, but imagine if we never could rest? Life would be unbearable. Allah reminds us of this in the Qur’an:

“And We made your sleep [a means for] rest. And We made the night as clothing. And We made the day for livelihood.”
(Surah An-Naba’, 78:9–11)

Sleep is not just a biological need; it is also a spiritual pause. Every night, when we close our eyes, it is as if we are surrendering our souls back to Allah. And every morning that we wake up, it is Allah granting us another chance to live, to do good, and to seek His pleasure.

๐ŸŒŒ A World That Never Rests

We live in a time where the world never truly sleeps. Lights are always on, notifications keep buzzing, and our attention is constantly being pulled towards phones, laptops, and endless scrolling. Some people even fall asleep with their devices in hand.

But Rasulullah ๏ทบ showed us a different way. He taught us to end our day with remembrance of Allah; cleansing our hearts, protecting our souls, and preparing ourselves in case that night is our last.

๐Ÿ›️ Stories from the Sunnah Before Sleep

When we look at the Sunnah of Rasulullah ๏ทบ, every small act has deep wisdom.

  • Dusting the bed: The Prophet ๏ทบ advised us to dust our bed before lying down (Sahih al-Bukhari). Imagine someone in the desert, where insects or dirt might be present – it was practical advice for health and safety. Today, it is a reminder of cleanliness and mindfulness before rest.

  • Sleeping with wudhu: Rasulullah ๏ทบ said:

“Whoever sleeps in a state of purity, the angels will be with him. He will not wake up until the angels say: ‘O Allah, forgive Your servant, for he went to sleep in a state of purity.’”
    (Ibn Hibban, authenticated by Al-Albani)
SubhanAllah, what better way to be guarded in your sleep than by the angels’ dua?

  • Reciting Qur’an and Dhikr: The Prophet ๏ทบ never went to bed without reciting Ayatul Kursi. In a narration, Shaytan admitted that whoever recites it at night will be protected until morning (Sahih al-Bukhari). Similarly, the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, Surah Al-Mulk, and the three Quls act as shields for our souls.

๐Ÿ’ญ A Story to Reflect On

I once heard a story of a man who had a habit of ending his day with forgiveness. Every night, before sleeping, he would forgive anyone who had wronged him. When asked why, he said: “I want to sleep with a clean heart, for I do not know if I will wake up tomorrow.”

This story reminds us that grudges and anger weigh down our hearts. Rasulullah ๏ทบ himself said that a man who forgives and lets go of hatred is among the people of Jannah (Sunan Ibn Majah). What if tonight is our last? Wouldn’t we want to meet Allah with a purified soul?

๐ŸŒ™ The Night Dua

The Prophet ๏ทบ would say before sleeping:

“Allahumma bismika amutu wa ahya”
O Allah, in Your name I die and I live.
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

And another longer dua:

“Bismika Rabbi wada’tu janbi, wa bika arfa’hu. In amsakta nafsi faghfir laha, wa in arsaltaha fahfadh-ha bima tahfadh bihi ‘ibadakas-salihin.”
(In Your name, O Lord, I lay down my side, and by You I lift it up. If You take my soul, forgive it, and if You send it back, protect it as You protect Your righteous servants.)
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)

Every night is a small death. And every morning is a resurrection. How humbling it is to realize this.

✨ A Gentle Reminder for Us All

Tonight, before you go to bed, pause for a moment. Put your phone aside. Perform your wudhu, recite the beautiful adhkar, forgive others, and surrender yourself to Allah with a heart full of trust.

This dunya is temporary. But the barakah of following the Sunnah lasts forever. By making these small steps a habit, we end each day with peace – and we prepare for the day when our eyes will close and not open again, until the Day of Resurrection.

๐Ÿ“Œ Call to Action
Let’s revive this beautiful Sunnah in our homes. Share this reminder with your loved ones. Teach your children the nightly sunnah routine. Let every sleep be a moment of ibadah and every morning a chance to be grateful.

PIDO: A Framework for Smarter AI Prompting and Meaningful Contribution

PIDO: A Framework for Smarter AI Prompting and Meaningful Contribution

By Coach Amirul Iskandar Mannan – Creator of the PIDO Framework

The Birth of PIDO

When I first started using ChatGPT in October 2022, I was curious about how this new tool could assist in my daily work as CEO of Yayasan Wiba Prima and as a professional trainer. Day by day, as I experimented, refined, and applied AI across different tasks, I noticed one undeniable truth:

The output of AI depends entirely on the quality of the input we provide.

From this realization, I began developing what was originally called CIDO (Context, Instructions, Details, Output). Over time, I refined it into PIDO (Parameter, Instructions, Details, Output) – a framework that is sharper, more professional, and unique.

Today, I have successfully utilized PIDO in my own work and shared it in training sessions with the SIRIM, Xperts Group, GIATMARA, teachers in the Visual Teachers program, and many others.

The PIDO Framework

๐Ÿ”น P – Parameter
Define the scope, role, and context.
Example: “You are a senior lecturer designing a 2-hour workshop for diploma students.”

๐Ÿ”น I – Instructions
Give clear and specific directions.
Example: “Create an interactive workshop outline with group activities.”

๐Ÿ”น D – Details
Provide supporting information, data, or constraints.
Example: “Include timing, materials needed, and expected learning outcomes.”

๐Ÿ”น O – Output
Specify the exact format or style you want.
Example: “Present the plan in a table format with columns for Time, Activity, and Outcome.”

This 4-step process ensures that AI delivers results that are relevant, structured, and actionable.

Why PIDO Matters

In our short time on this earth, we are called to make the best use of our skills, knowledge, and tools. Allah SWT reminds us in the Qur’an:

“And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth – all from Him. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who give thought.” (Surah Al-Jathiyah, 45:13)

Technology, including AI, is one of these tools. But like any tool, it requires mastery. Without proper knowledge and method, we risk being mere users, consuming blindly, instead of creators who shape and contribute meaningfully.

The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ said:

“The best of people are those that bring the most benefit to the rest of mankind.” (Sahih al-Jami, 3289)

By mastering frameworks like PIDO, we move beyond just using AI for convenience. We become more effective, productive, and impactful – able to contribute more to our families, organizations, and society.

The Bigger Picture

AI is not here to replace us. It is here to amplify us. But amplification only works if we have something worth amplifying, our fundamental knowledge, skills, and expertise in our respective fields.

PIDO ensures that when we interact with AI, we do so with clarity, purpose, and precision. This transforms AI from a novelty into a force multiplier for our work, productivity, and contribution.

My Declaration

I am proud to declare that PIDO is my original creation in AI prompt engineering – born from real practice, refined through daily use, and tested in training sessions with professionals and educators.

If you use it, please credit it to:
Coach Amirul Iskandar Mannan – Creator of the PIDO Framework.

Call to Action

To my fellow educators, professionals, and leaders:
✅ Learn PIDO.
✅ Apply PIDO.
✅ Share PIDO.

Let’s use AI not just to save time, but to multiply our contribution in this world.

Embracing Failure: Our Greatest Teacher

Today, we live in a society where failure is often treated as something shameful. We are expected to get everything right on the first try, from school grades to career paths, to even the way we live our daily lives.

Look at our kids. How many NOs do they hear every day?
“Don’t do this.”
“That’s wrong.”
“You’re not supposed to color outside the lines.”

A simple example: when children are given coloring books, they are often scolded if their crayons go beyond the boundaries. But isn’t that, in itself, a learning process? Isn’t experimenting, making mistakes, and trying again the very foundation of growth?

The truth is, the best way to learn is not through perfection, but through failure.

The Nature of Falling

Think about it: the reason why we fall is so that we can get back up again. Can you imagine if we gave up the first time we tried to learn how to walk? Every child stumbles countless times before they take their first confident step. And yet, not a single one of us remembers those failures; we only remember that eventually, we learned to walk.

That’s life. We fail, we stumble, but with every fall comes the opportunity to rise stronger.

Failure as a Journey

The word FAILURE itself can be seen as a roadmap:

  • F – Fall: Everyone falls. It’s part of life.

  • A – Acknowledge: Admit the setback, instead of denying it.

  • I – Investigate: Ask yourself why it happened.

  • L – Learn: Extract lessons from the experience.

  • U – Understand: Gain clarity and wisdom.

  • R – Realign: Adjust your path with new insight.

  • E – Evolve: Become better, stronger, and more resilient.

When we see failure not as the end, but as a process of realignment and evolution, everything changes.

A Story of Failure that Led to Greatness

One of the greatest inventors in history, Thomas Edison, failed over a thousand times before successfully inventing the light bulb. When asked about his failures, he famously said:

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

Imagine if Edison had given up after his first attempt. The world as we know it would be very different today.

Closer to home, think of a child learning to ride a bicycle. The first few tries often end in scraped knees and tears. But every fall teaches balance, every mistake teaches adjustment, and eventually, the child rides freely. That feeling of freedom was born out of failure.

Lessons from the Quran and Hadith

Allah SWT reminds us in the Qur’an:

“Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.” (Surah Ash-Sharh, 94:6)

This verse reminds us that no difficulty is permanent. Every struggle carries within it the seed of ease and relief, but only if we remain patient and keep moving forward.

The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ also gave us timeless wisdom about strength and resilience:

“The strong person is not the one who throws his opponent to the ground. The strong person is the one who controls himself when he is angry.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)

True strength is not about never falling; it’s about how we rise, how we control our emotions, and how we persevere when things don’t go our way.

From Failure to Evolution

When we fail in business, relationships, studies, or even personal goals, it’s easy to feel defeated. But what if we reframe failure as a stepping stone?

  • Failing an exam doesn’t mean you’re not intelligent. It means you need a different study strategy.

  • A failed business doesn’t mean you’re not cut out for entrepreneurship. It means you gained priceless experience to do better next time.

  • Even a failed relationship doesn’t mean you’re unworthy of love. It means you now better understand yourself and what you value in others.

Every failure is simply a realignment, guiding us closer to where we truly need to be.

A Call to Action

So the next time you fail, don’t hide from it. Don’t let it define you. Instead, acknowledge it, learn from it, and rise again.

Remember: failure is not the opposite of success; it is a part of success.

๐Ÿ’ก Imagine how powerful our society would be if we raised our children not to fear failure, but to see it as their greatest teacher. Imagine if we embraced every setback as an opportunity to evolve.

๐ŸŒŸ Fall. Learn. Rise. Evolve. ๐ŸŒŸ

6 Habits of Great Leaders: Leading Yourself Before Leading Others

6 Habits of Great Leaders: Leading Yourself Before Leading Others

When people hear the word leadership, most think of CEOs, politicians, or famous figures. But here’s a truth that many overlook: everyone is a leader to himself.

You may not have a big title, a corner office, or a thousand followers. But every day, you lead the most important person in your life, yourself.

Think about it:

  • You decide whether to wake up early or hit the snooze button.

  • You decide whether to react with anger or respond with patience.

  • You decide whether to invest in your growth or remain stagnant.

These are leadership decisions. If we cannot lead ourselves, how can we hope to lead others?

The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ reminded us of this reality:

“Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)

Your first flock is your own mind, your own habits, your own soul.

The challenge is this: make today better than yesterday, and tomorrow better than today. That’s the essence of self-leadership.

The 6 Habits of Great Leaders

Based on the timeless principles of leadership, here are six habits we can all practice. Let’s explore them deeply, with stories that connect to our everyday lives.

1. Listen – The Power of Being Present

Most of us listen to reply, not to understand. But great leaders listen with their hearts.

Imagine a child coming home from school, excited to share a story, but their parent is glued to the phone. The child feels unheard, and over time, stops sharing.

Now imagine the same child being met with eye contact, a smile, and curiosity. That small moment of listening builds trust for life.

In the Qur’an, Allah reminds us:

“…those who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allah has guided, and those are people of understanding.”
(Surah Az-Zumar, 39:18)

Leadership starts with listening, not just to words, but to the emotions behind them.

2. Empower – Trust Brings Out the Best in People

Have you ever worked under a boss who micromanages every move? You probably felt demotivated, as if your abilities weren’t trusted.

Now compare that with a leader who believes in you, gives you ownership, and says, “I trust you to make this work.” That confidence can spark creativity and drive.

Even the Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ empowered his companions. When young Usama ibn Zayd (only 17 years old) was appointed to lead an army, some questioned it. But the Prophet ๏ทบ trusted him, and that trust elevated him.

Empowerment is a gift that multiplies. When we trust others, we help them grow into leaders themselves.

3. Align – Everyone Needs to Belong

One of the deepest human needs is the need to belong. In teams, families, or communities, people want to feel that their presence matters.

I once heard a story of a company where janitors were included in strategy meetings. When asked why, the CEO said, “Because they keep our workplace running. Without them, our plans won’t succeed.” That simple alignment made every person feel valued.

Great leaders ensure everyone understands the bigger vision and sees their role in it.

4. Develop – Growth is the Only Way Forward

Leadership isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about creating growth opportunities.

Think of a teacher who doesn’t just give students information but mentors them, challenges them, and believes in their potential. Years later, those students don’t just remember the lessons; they remember the teacher who pushed them to grow.

The Prophet ๏ทบ nurtured growth by teaching, mentoring, and guiding his companions to become leaders after him.

In the same way, we must commit to lifelong learning, reading, reflecting, and surrounding ourselves with people who stretch us.

5. Engage – Every Voice Matters

Have you ever sat in a meeting where only one or two people spoke, while everyone else stayed silent? That’s not leadership, that’s dictatorship.

Great leaders invite voices. They ask, “What do you think?” They create safe spaces where even the quietest person can share.

In fact, during the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet ๏ทบ consulted his companions, young and old, before making decisions. Some of their suggestions were accepted, even when different from his initial thought. That’s engagement in action.

When people know their voices matter, they bring their hearts into the work.

6. Recognize – Never Take Effort for Granted

How often do we notice the little things people do? A kind word, a helping hand, a job done well?

Too often, we overlook these “quiet wins.” But recognition is fuel. When people feel appreciated, they give even more.

The Prophet ๏ทบ would personally thank and acknowledge his companions. He even gave nicknames as signs of love and recognition. Imagine the warmth that was created.

As the Qur’an says:

“…And whoever is grateful, his gratitude is only for the benefit of himself…”
(Surah Luqman, 31:12)

Gratitude builds relationships. Recognition builds trust. Together, they build lasting leadership.

Leadership is a Daily Choice

At the end of the day, leadership isn’t about titles or positions. It’s about habits—small, consistent actions repeated daily.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Listen with presence.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Empower with trust.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Align with vision.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Develop with mentoring.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Engage with openness.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Recognize with gratitude.

Start with yourself. Lead your heart, your time, and your actions. The rest will follow.

Remember: Every master was once a beginner. Every leader starts by leading himself.

A Call to Action

This week, choose one of these habits and practice it intentionally. Notice how it changes your day, and the people around you.

Then share your journey with others. Because the world needs more conscious leaders. And it starts with you.

✨ What habit will you start with today?

How to Plan a Productive Day and a Meaningful Week

How to Plan a Productive Day and a Meaningful Week

Today is Sunday, a fresh beginning as we prepare to enter a brand-new week. Sundays are special because they give us a chance to pause, reflect, and realign. Many of us set yearly goals in January, but true success comes when we break those goals into smaller, daily actions.

At the end of the day, productivity is not just about being busy; it’s about being effective. It’s about ensuring that the work we do truly brings us closer to our ultimate goals in life. Whether it’s in our career, business, studies, or personal growth, a well-planned day is the foundation of a successful life.

So, how can we plan a day that is not only productive but also fulfilling? Here are nine powerful tips you can start practicing today (credit: image shared).

1. Start with a Clear To-Do List ๐Ÿ“

Write down everything you need to accomplish for the day. Don’t leave your tasks floating in your mind; it only creates unnecessary stress. A simple to-do list gives you clarity and direction.

2. Prioritize Your Most Important Tasks ๐ŸŽฏ

Not all tasks are created equal. Some give you bigger results than others. Ask yourself: If I only complete three things today, which ones will make the biggest difference? Then focus your energy on those tasks first.

3. Use a Planner or Digital App ๐Ÿ“’๐Ÿ’ป

Some people prefer writing in a physical planner; others rely on apps like Google Calendar, Notion, or Todoist. Whichever tool you use, the key is consistency. Plan your time wisely, and don’t leave your day to chance.

4. Take Short Breaks Between Tasks ☕

Research shows that our brains work best in cycles. After 60–90 minutes of focused work, take a 5–10-minute break. Stretch, walk around, or simply breathe. These micro-breaks help you recharge and stay sharp throughout the day.

5. Avoid Multitasking ๐Ÿšซ

Multitasking may feel productive, but it actually reduces efficiency and quality. The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ said:

“Allah loves that when anyone of you does a job, he should perfect it.” (Al-Bayhaqi)

Perfection comes with focus. Give each task your full attention before moving on to the next.

6. Set Realistic Goals for the Day ๐ŸŽฏ

Don’t overload your to-do list with 20 tasks. Instead, choose a few that you can realistically complete. Remember, productivity is not about doing everything; it’s about doing the right things consistently.

7. Schedule Time for Self-Care ๐Ÿง˜‍♀️

True productivity is holistic. Your mental, emotional, and physical health all play a role in how well you perform. Include time for prayer, exercise, reading, or even a quiet moment to recharge your soul.

8. Stay Hydrated and Eat Energizing Foods ๐Ÿฅ—๐Ÿ’ง

What you put into your body fuels your mind. Drink enough water and choose foods that give you sustained energy, not just a sugar rush. The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ taught moderation in eating:

“No human ever filled a vessel worse than the stomach…” (Sunan Ibn Majah)

Balanced eating helps us stay alert and energized throughout the day.

9. End the Day with Reflection ๐ŸŒ™

Before you sleep, review your day. What went well? What could be improved? End with gratitude for what you have achieved and set your intentions for tomorrow. Reflection is how we grow.

Islamic Perspective on Productivity ๐ŸŒฟ

The Quran reminds us:

“So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]. And to your Lord direct [your] longing.” (Surah Al-Inshirah, 94:7-8)

This verse highlights the importance of focus, completion, and turning to Allah after fulfilling our responsibilities. Productivity is not just worldly—it is deeply spiritual. Every action we do with sincerity becomes an act of worship.

The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ also said:

“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim)

Consistency, not intensity, builds success. Small daily actions compound into massive results.

Final Thoughts ๐Ÿ’ก

Planning a productive day is not about filling every second with work. It’s about living with balance, clarity, and purpose. When we align our actions with our long-term vision, every day becomes a meaningful step toward success—both in this world and the Hereafter.

So as we step into a new week, let’s take time to plan wisely. Don’t let the days slip by without direction. Remember, every small action today is an investment in the person you will become tomorrow.

Mastering Public Speaking: From Fear to Confidence

Mastering Public Speaking: From Fear to Confidence

One of the greatest fears many people carry isn’t climbing a mountain, facing wild animals, or even death itself. It’s something far simpler yet strangely terrifying—public speaking.

Statistics reveal that the fear of public speaking often ranks higher than the fear of death. If you’ve ever been asked to speak in front of a group, you may have felt it yourself: shaky hands, sweaty palms, butterflies in the stomach, a racing heartbeat, or even a terrifying blank mind. It feels overwhelming—but here’s the truth:

๐Ÿ‘‰ You are not alone.
๐Ÿ‘‰ And you can overcome it.

Public speaking is not a gift reserved for the lucky few. It is a skill—and like any skill, it can be learned, practiced, and eventually mastered.

Why Public Speaking Matters

Public speaking isn’t just about standing on a stage. It’s about learning how to communicate with influence and clarity. It’s how leaders inspire their teams, how educators shape young minds, how businesspeople win trust, and how everyday people share stories that move hearts.

Think about it:

  • Every powerful leader you admire mastered communication.

  • Every movement that inspired change was built on words.

  • Every lesson that stayed with you came from someone who could speak with impact.

When you learn to speak well, you gain the ability to inspire, empower, and influence those around you.

9 Proven Strategies to Master Public Speaking

The good news is, there are strategies you can start practicing today. These 9 powerful tips (credit to Chris Donnelly for the infographic shared) can transform the way you speak:

  1. The Power Pause – After saying something important, pause. Silence draws people in.

  2. The Rule of Three – The brain loves patterns: three ideas, three beats, three bullets.

  3. The 2-Minute Story Rule – Keep stories sharp. Two minutes max. Then move on.

  4. Punchline First – Lead with your conclusion, then explain how you got there.

  5. The Chair Test – Would your talk work sitting down? If not, you’re relying too much on theatrics.

  6. The Echo Effect – Repeat what matters. Repetition builds memory.

  7. The Suspense Setup – Create curiosity. Delay the reveal to keep attention alive.

  8. The Contrast Trick – Show what “most people do” versus “what I do instead.” Contrast sticks.

  9. The 10-Second Hook – You’ve got 10 seconds to grab attention. Use a story, a stat, or a surprise.

These are simple, practical, and proven. The best part? You don’t need years of training to start using them—you can apply them in your very next presentation, meeting, or even casual talk.

Lessons from the Quran and Hadith

As Muslims, we are reminded that speech carries weight. Public speaking, at its heart, is about delivering a message that benefits others.

Allah SWT commands us in the Quran:

“And speak to people good words.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:83)

The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ emphasized clarity and wisdom in speech:

“Speak to the people according to their level of understanding.”
(Sahih Muslim)

And he ๏ทบ also taught the power of silence:

“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.”
(Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)

These teachings remind us that effective communication is not about impressing others—it’s about speaking truth with clarity, sincerity, and purpose.

Every Master Was Once a Disaster

Here’s a secret: every great speaker you admire today started off nervous, awkward, and unsure. They stumbled, forgot their words, and made mistakes. But instead of giving up, they practiced, refined, and grew.

Every master was once a disaster.

The difference lies in persistence. Public speaking isn’t about being fearless; it’s about acting despite the fear. The more you practice, the more confident you become.

How You Can Start Today

  1. Practice in small settings – Speak in team meetings or family gatherings.

  2. Record yourself – Watch your body language and tone.

  3. Start with stories – People connect more with stories than with data.

  4. Seek feedback – Ask friends, colleagues, or mentors for honest input.

  5. Learn, refine, repeat – Every attempt makes you better.

Remember, you don’t need to aim for perfection. Aim for progress.

Final Inspiration

The ability to speak confidently is one of the greatest investments you can make in yourself. It can open doors to leadership, opportunities, and influence. More importantly, it allows you to touch hearts and inspire minds.

So, don’t let fear silence your voice. Take that step, embrace the nerves, and remember: your voice matters, your story matters, and the world needs to hear it.

✨ Start today. Speak with courage. Grow into the speaker you were meant to be.

Be Humble – You Won’t Stay Fresh Forever

In life, everything changes. Our bodies, our energy, our circumstances — nothing stays the same forever. The image of the banana going from fresh yellow to spotted, then brown, and finally black is a simple but profound reminder: we are all passing through stages.

When we are young and full of strength, it’s easy to feel invincible. Our faces are bright, our bodies are agile, and opportunities seem endless. But as the years pass, the energy slows, our skin wrinkles, and the world around us changes. It’s not a matter of if — it’s a matter of when.

And that’s why humility is so important.

The Illusion of Permanence

Many people live as if their youth, success, and power will last forever. They chase achievements, status, and admiration, forgetting that all of it is temporary. The truth is, the wheel of time never stops turning.

One day you might be in a position of influence, with people listening to every word you say. The next day, you could be forgotten, replaced, or even looked down upon. Just as seasons change, so do our circumstances.

The Qur’an reminds us:

“Do not walk upon the earth arrogantly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart], and you will never reach the mountains in height.”
(Surah Al-Isra, 17:37)

No matter how high we rise, we are still human. We come from dust and to dust we shall return.

Humility in Islam

Humility is not about belittling yourself — it’s about recognizing the truth: everything you have is from Allah, and it can be taken away at any moment.

The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ warned us clearly:

“No one who has an atom’s-weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.”
(Sahih Muslim)

This doesn’t mean we can’t take pride in our work or be confident. Rather, it means we must never let our ego convince us that we are better than others. We must treat every person — rich or poor, young or old — with respect.

Every Stage Has Its Beauty

Growing older is not something to fear. Each stage of life has its blessings. Youth gives us energy. Middle age gives us stability and wisdom. Old age gives us perspective and patience.

When we accept that life is temporary, we stop clinging to what will eventually fade and start focusing on what will last — our deeds, our relationships, and our character.

The Prophet ๏ทบ said:

“Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before you become busy, and your life before your death.”
(Sahih al-Hakim)

Gratitude in All Seasons

Humility and gratitude go hand in hand. When we are doing well, we should be grateful for the blessings Allah has given us. When times are tough, we should be grateful for the lessons and the growth they bring.

Every new day is a gift — a chance to change, to help someone, to make peace, to leave a positive mark.

Your Legacy Will Outlast Your Youth

One day, the things people remember about you won’t be your looks, your title, or your bank account. They will remember your kindness, your honesty, and how you made them feel.

The best legacy is a humble heart and a life of service. That is what endures.

๐ŸŒฑ Final Reminder:
Stay humble when you are strong. Stay grateful when you are weak. Be kind always. Time may take your freshness, but it can never take the beauty of a good heart.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Your Turn:
Think of one person you can appreciate, thank, or help today. A kind word, a small gesture, or even a smile could be the blessing they need.

The PIDO Framework: My Original AI Prompting Method for Maximum Impact

The PIDO Framework: My Original AI Prompting Method for Maximum Impact

By Coach Amirul Iskandar Mannan, Creator of the PIDO Framework

Introduction

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the way we work, teach, and create. Yet, one simple truth remains:

The quality of your AI output depends entirely on the quality of your prompt.

Since I first started using ChatGPT in October 2022, I have explored and refined countless prompting techniques in my daily work as CEO of Yayasan Wiba Prima and as a professional trainer. Over time, through continuous practice and experimentation, I developed a structured approach that consistently produced better AI results.

This became PIDO — a practical, results-driven prompting framework that I have since shared with and trained hundreds of people, including SIRIM, SIRIM QAS, Xperts Group of companies, GIATMARA, participants of my Visual Teachers program, and many other training audiences.

What is PIDO?

PIDO stands for:

  1. P – Parameter
Define the scope, role, and context for the AI.
Example: “You are an experienced Malaysian Form 4 science teacher designing a lesson on photosynthesis.”

  2. I – Instructions
    Give clear and specific directions.
Example: “Create a 40-minute interactive lesson plan.”

  3. D – Details
Add supporting information, constraints, or specific points to include.
Example: “Include learning objectives, activities, materials needed, and assessment methods.”

  4. O – Output
Specify the exact format or style you want.
Example: “Present it in a table format with time allocations.”

Why I Created PIDO

I originally developed the CIDO concept (Context, Instructions, Details, Output) through my personal and professional use of ChatGPT. However, I realised that “CIDO” exists in other industries, which could cause confusion.

I refined it into PIDO — replacing “Context” with Parameter — to make it more precise, professional, and unique to my approach.

This was not created in a single workshop or training session, but evolved over months of real-world application in leadership, corporate projects, and training delivery.

Why PIDO Works?

Without Parameters, AI doesn’t know the “playing field.”
Without Instructions, it doesn’t know the goal.
Without Details, it gives generic answers.
Without defining Output, it delivers in the wrong style or format.

PIDO ensures nothing important is left out, producing clear, targeted, and high-quality AI results every time.

Example in Action

Weak Prompt: “Write a lesson plan.”

PIDO Prompt:

  • Parameter: You are a senior Malaysian secondary school science teacher.

  • Instructions: Create a 40-minute interactive lesson on photosynthesis.

  • Details: Include objectives, activities, materials, and assessments.

  • Output: Display in a table format with time allocations.

Result: The AI generates a complete, well-structured, ready-to-use lesson plan.

Applications of PIDO

  • Education: Lesson plans, exam questions, teaching aids

  • Business: Reports, proposals, marketing copy

  • Personal Productivity: Summaries, letters, idea generation

  • Creative Work: Scripts, articles, social media content

PIDO and Research

I am now preparing my Master’s research to measure how PIDO improves AI-assisted tasks for different professional groups, including teachers. My hypothesis:

Proper prompting using PIDO will significantly enhance the quality, efficiency, and adoption of AI tools in education, corporate settings, and personal productivity.

Mindset Is Everything – The True Asset You Can’t Afford to Lose

Mindset Is Everything – The True Asset You Can’t Afford to Lose

๐Ÿ“ท Credit: Gary Vee (@garyvee)

We all face the same rain.
Some get drenched in misery.
Some walk with their heads down, feeling defeated.
And then some keep walking, smiling, even though the rain touches them just the same.

The difference? It’s not luck. It’s a mindset.

The Power of the Mind

Your mindset is the single biggest asset you have in life. It determines how you interpret challenges, how you react to setbacks, and how you move forward after failure. You can have all the resources, talent, and opportunities in the world, but without the right mindset, you will sabotage your own success.

The problem is, most of us let our environment control our emotions:

  • If people around us are negative, we absorb that energy.

  • If situations don’t go as planned, we spiral into frustration.

  • If challenges pile up, we feel demotivated and stuck.

We hand over control of our mood and motivation to the outside world. And that is where we go wrong.

The Only Thing You Truly Control

Life is full of things you cannot control: the weather, the economy, other people’s opinions, or sudden changes that disrupt your plans. But there is one thing you will always have power over, your response.

The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ beautifully said:

“The strong man is not the one who can overpower others; the strong man is the one who controls himself when angry.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)

Strength, therefore, is not about muscles or dominance; it’s about self-control. It’s about maintaining composure, clarity, and calmness in the middle of life’s storms.

Faith Gives Perspective

In Islam, both hardship and ease are seen as tests. When we understand this, our perspective shifts.

“…We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.”
(Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:35)

The mindset of a believer is anchored in tawakkul, trust in Allah’s plan. This doesn’t mean being passive. It means taking action in what you can control, and letting go of the rest. As a result, you find inner peace, even when the storm rages on.

Building a Resilient Mindset

Like any skill, mindset can be developed. Here’s how:

  1. Practice Awareness – Pause before reacting. Notice your thoughts and emotions before they control you.

  2. Choose Gratitude – Every situation has something to be thankful for, even if it’s a lesson.

  3. Focus on Controllables – Put energy only into what you can influence.

  4. Trust in Allah (Tawakkul) – Do your part, then hand over the outcome to Him.

  5. Protect Your Environment – Surround yourself with people who lift you up, not pull you down.

Every Moment Is a Choice

Every single day, we are faced with a choice, will we let our circumstances define us, or will we rise above them?

Your mindset will decide:

  • Whether failure is the end or just feedback.

  • Whether criticism crushes you or makes you better.

  • Whether challenges break you or build you.

The rain will come—sometimes in the form of disappointment, loss, or hardship. But you decide how you walk through it.

๐Ÿ’ก Call to Action:
From this moment, commit to protecting your most valuable asset—your mindset. Build it, strengthen it, and never let anyone else take control of it. When you master your mind, you master your life.

Everyone Wants the View, Few Want the Climb

Everyone Wants the View, Few Want the Climb

We live in a world obsessed with the final product.
The gold medal.
The million-ringgit business.
The perfect Instagram body.
The “overnight” success story.

But here’s the untold truth: Behind every view from the mountaintop is a climb that most people never see — or never want to do.

The Allure of the View

Think about it.
When you see someone achieve something great, your heart might whisper, “I wish I could have that.”
We want the results — a fit body, a thriving business, stable finances, and a peaceful home.

But the climb?
That means early mornings when the bed is warm and the world is still asleep.
It means sacrifices — saying “no” to short-term pleasures for long-term gain.
It means pushing forward even when motivation has packed its bags and left.

The Power of Small Steps

This is where the 21/90 Rule changes the game:

  • 21 days to create a habit.

  • 90 days to turn it into a lifestyle.

The beauty of this rule is that it’s not about massive leaps. It’s about small, steady steps. Like drops of water wearing down a rock, your consistent actions, even if tiny, shape your life in ways you can’t imagine today.

James Clear, in Atomic Habits, says:

“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”

And in Islam, our beloved Prophet ๏ทบ reminded us:

“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim)

Why the Climb Matters

The climb is not just about reaching the destination. It’s about who you become along the way.
A degree is just a piece of paper, but the discipline, the problem-solving, the resilience you build to earn it? That stays with you forever.

Allah SWT says in the Quran:

“And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives.”
(Surah An-Najm, 53:39)

Your effort counts. Your struggle counts. Even the moments you feel like quitting, but take one more step, they all count.

Turning Dreams into Reality

Here’s how you can start your climb today:

  1. Pick One Habit – Just one. Don’t try to overhaul your life in one night.

  2. Commit to 21 Days – Get past the awkward “new” phase.

  3. Stretch to 90 Days – Let it become second nature.

  4. Embrace the Process – Stop rushing to the view. Enjoy the climb.

  5. Measure & Adjust – Small wins keep you going.

And remember, there’s no such thing as “too small” a step. In fact, the smaller it is, the more likely you’ll stick with it.

Final Thoughts

Success is not an accident. It’s the result of deliberate choices, daily actions, and the willingness to keep climbing when the path gets steep.

So, ask yourself:
Do you just want the view, or are you ready to take on the climb?

๐Ÿ’ฌ If this inspired you, share it with someone who needs to be reminded that success is built one small step at a time.
