Why 2026 Will Be the Year AI Enters Every Classroom — Whether We Are Ready or Not
By Coach Amirul Iskandar Mannan
1. The Truth We Can No Longer Ignore
This morning, driving to the office, I turned on the radio.
And guess what they were talking about?
AI.
Not politics.
Not entertainment.
Not gossip.
But:
“Which AI tools can help make meetings faster and easier?”
People were calling in, sharing apps they use, tools they discover, and how much time they’ve saved.
When a topic reaches radio level, you know it has already moved from “early adopters” to mainstream behaviour.
And that’s when the realisation hit me again:
AI is already here… whether we want it or not.
2. It is Happening Even If We Don’t Agree With It
Some people welcome AI.
Some fear it.
Some deny it.
Some ignore it.
But the truth remains—just like the inevitability of sunrise:
AI doesn’t need our permission. It only needs time.
It is already embedded in:
-
How students search for answers
-
How parents guide homework
-
How teachers plan lessons
-
How lecturers analyse data
-
How professors conduct research
-
How companies train their staff
-
How schools manage administration
AI has entered every corridor of education.
The only question left is this:
Are we ready?
3. As Thanos Said It Best: “I’m Inevitable.”
We may laugh at the quote, but the message is brutally accurate.
In the Marvel universe, Thanos represented a change that could not be stopped.
In our world today?
AI is that inevitable force.
You can delay it.
You can resist it.
But you cannot stop it.
And the education world—students, teachers, parents, institutions—will experience this shift faster than any other sector.
4. Why 2026 Is the Turning Point
Here’s why 2026 will be the year AI officially enters every classroom:
1. Students are already using AI quietly.
They are faster, smarter, and more curious than we think.
They use AI for homework, notes, explanations, and revision.
Whether schools approve or not, they are using it anyway.
2. Parents are realising AI can reduce stress at home.
Parents today juggle work, life, finances, school updates, and their children’s emotions.
AI gives them:
-
Instant explanations
-
Step-by-step solutions
-
Personalized study plans
-
Bahasa + English answers
-
24/7 tutoring
Relief alone is enough for adoption.
3. Teachers can no longer keep up without AI.
Teachers today face heavier workloads than ever.
AI is not here to replace teachers.
AI is here to lift the burden.
With AI, teachers can:
-
Create lesson plans in minutes
-
Generate visuals
-
Prepare exercises
-
Mark answers
-
Personalize learning
AI + Teacher = Super Teacher
4. Universities and colleges are already moving ahead.
Higher education institutions are integrating AI into:
-
Assignments
-
Research
-
Labs
-
Teaching frameworks
-
Graduate employability
Students who don’t use AI become instantly disadvantaged.
5. The world economy now demands AI-literate graduates.
Employers expect students to know how to:
-
communicate using AI
-
problem-solve using AI
-
research using AI
-
think critically with AI
This is not a trend.
This is a requirement.
5. The Real Question: Will We Adapt or Be Left Behind?
We can argue.
We can resist.
We can pretend we don’t need it.
But eventually…
AI will become as normal as calculators,
as essential as Google,
as integrated as smartphones,
and as expected as Wi-Fi.
The future belongs not to those who are the smartest,
but to those who adapt the fastest.
6. What Should We Do Now? (The Key Is Simple)
There are only two choices:
❌ Fight AI
— and get left behind.
✅ Adopt AI + Adapt Now
— and unlock the greatest opportunity in modern education.
Every parent.
Every student.
Every teacher.
Every lecturer.
Every professor.
Needs to understand this:
**AI is not replacing you.
AI is upgrading you.**
Your creativity.
Your decision-making.
Your empathy.
Your leadership.
Your problem-solving.
AI amplifies everything.
7. Closing Reflection
In Islam, we are taught to prepare for what is coming.
We are taught to embrace knowledge.
We are taught to adapt, to hijrah, to improve.
AI is simply another tool—like books, calculators, and the internet—sent as a means to accelerate learning and understanding.
The wise embrace it.
The prepared benefit from it.
The unprepared fear it.
As we enter 2026, may we be among those who are ready.
InsyaAllah.
