📋 THE 7-STEP SYSTEM
1. Download Your LinkedIn Profile
Before we begin, we need your current data.
Go to your LinkedIn profile on a desktop computer.
Click the "More" button (located near your profile picture/headline).
Select "Save to PDF" and save it to your device.
2. Select Your AI Partner
Open your preferred AI assistant.
Go to Claude.ai (highly recommended for writing) or ChatGPT.
Coach's Tip: If you are using Claude, select the Sonnet model and toggle Extended Thinking on for deeper strategic analysis.
3. Upload Your PDF + Use the PIDO Prompt
This is where the magic happens. Upload your downloaded PDF and paste this exact PIDO-structured prompt into the chat:
P (Parameter):
Act as an elite LinkedIn Brand Strategist, executive career coach, and copywriting expert.
I (Instruction):
Audit the attached LinkedIn profile PDF. Identify critical gaps that are stopping people from hiring, following, or trusting this person, and completely optimize each section.
D (Details):
Optimize the Experience section using the XYZ Formula (I accomplished X, by doing Y, resulting in Z).
Limit to a maximum of 3 high-impact bullet points per role.
Integrate industry-relevant, ATS-friendly keywords.
Maintain a warm, professional, and authentic tone of voice.
O (Output):
Do not write the profile yet. First, ask me 3 to 5 highly specific clarifying questions about my primary career goals, target audience, and key achievements. Once I provide the answers, output:
A scroll-stopping, value-driven Headline.
A warm, story-driven About section (under 250 words).
Rewritten, result-oriented Experience bullet points.
A list of skills and keywords that were missing.
4. Provide Clear Answers to the AI’s Questions
The quality of your output depends on the quality of your input. Take 2 minutes to answer the 3 to 5 questions the AI asks you.
Tip: Be honest, specific, and mention your proudest career wins!
5. Collect Your Optimized Profile Components
Review the generated sections. The AI will provide:
Headline: Focused on the value you deliver, not just your job title.
About Section: Structured to hook readers, state your mission, and end with a clear Call to Action (CTA).
Experience Bullets: Action-oriented, quantitative, and clear.
6. Refine Any Section That Requires a Human Touch
Remember the rule: AI does the Bits (drafting). You bring the Bricks (decisions).
Read through the text. If any paragraph feels too "robotic" or doesn't sound like you, ask the AI to refine it.
Example follow-up prompt:
"The About section is great, but make it sound slightly warmer and cut it down to exactly 5 sentences."
7. Copy and Paste to LinkedIn
Once you are 100% happy with the outcome:
Paste the new copy into your LinkedIn profile.
