New Baby In The Family

Wow, just opened my blog and I didn't realized that the last entry was way back in November 2009. That would be like ages in this internet age.

Anyways have been really occupied with the arrival of our new baby boy ~ Amirul Danish. Got to admit that when we were expecting a new baby I was quite nervous as it has been quite sometime since we last had a baby in the house. That was 7 years ago with Aiman.

It's a whole new expereince as now we will welcome the baby with 2 other children who are already 8 & 7 years old. Everybody is excited!

Alhamdulillah the operation was a success both my wife and Danish are in great health. Elin is recovering well. Hope fully from now on I can keep the blog updated.

Beckham has Asthma! ~ Agent: Asthmatic Beckham can inspire sufferers

I just read this from soccernet. I'm a huge Man United fan and as far as I know the only player with asthma problem was Paul Scholes.

Now it seems that Becks was asthmatic as well. I guess you can still succeed even if you have asthma. I know it because I too have asthma.

Here's the article that I got off from soccernet. Enjoy!

David Beckham has secretly suffered from a mild form of asthma since childhood, but could now be seen an inspiration to fellow sufferers of the breathing condition, according to the player's agent.

David Beckham and LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena ponder defeat

The 34-year-old Beckham was photographed on Sunday using an inhaler during L.A. Galaxy's 5-4 defeat on penalties by Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer's championship game in Seattle.

"David has suffered with this since he was a young boy, but it has obviously had no effect on his performance," Beckham's agent Simon Oliveira was quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.

"He has never sought to make it public but if it does inspire any sufferer to think they can achieve great things like many other sportsmen have done then so much the better."

Beckham played all 120 minutes of the MLS Cup after injuries to team-mates used up Galaxy's substitutes. He was coughing badly after the game having struggled with a cold in the lead up the match, while he also limped through much of the match after pain-killing injections on a bruised ankle wore off in the first half.

Beckham scored his penalty but Galaxy captain Landon Donovan was among those to miss and Salt Lake won the shootout after a 1-1 draw following extra time to claim a surprise triumph.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United midfielder will rejoin AC Milan on loan in January as he bids to make England's World Cup squad for next year's finals in South Africa.

3 Tips On Preparing An Excellent Resume

The last couple of weeks I was asked to prepare a resume or more accurately curriculum vitae (CV) for my mum. It was a tedious task. I did not expect it to be difficult but as I set about to complete the task I found it to be quite daunting.

It has been quite a while since I actually did a resume much less a CV. The first thing I did was get online to find out some samples so that I could get a clearer picture. A simple google search gave me millions of results on resume and CV. As I set forth on my research I finally understood the difference between a resume and a CV.J

Apparently in the US, a resume is a comprehensive 2 page write up on your background and competencies as well as experiences. It is basically a summary of who you are and what you can offer. A CV on the other hand is a write of what you have done in greater detail which could be more than 2 pages. You could put in all your education, seminars, conferences, your hobbies and interest. Basically whatever information that you want to share with people that you are trying to sell yourself.

After almost 2 weeks I finally managed to finish up my mum’s CV with the help of my wife of course. It was a great as I saw what my mum has done and contributed throughout her life and career. It made me feel really proud and it inspired me to do the same for myself. I made a decision to start doing a CV for myself that I could constantly update. I feel that it is important for us to keep a record of what we have done with our lives and a formal CV is a perfect way to record it.

From my experience I realized that in order to prepare an excellent resume or a CV there are 3 things that can help you out in your task.

Firstly, make sure that you have all the facts right. You need to be sure of the dates, the names of the organization or institutions. The qualification that you have earned such as the degree, masters or diploma qualification. It is also important to keep records of all the courses, seminars and conferences that you have attended.

Secondly, identify the correct format and the flow of your data for your resume or CV. Make sure that the data are not repeated. The flow of the facts should be based on importance. Make the sentences short, clear and concise. Only elaborate on items that you feel would require clarification. Put yourself in the position of someone reading your CV for the first time. Would they be able to understand you?

Thirdly, use the right font and put a formal picture of yourself. This is important for the ease of people reading your resume or CV. A nice picture will help them to connect and relate to you better.

Anyways, I have setup a website where you can get all the resources that you need to do your own excellent resume at http://ExcellentResume.BestHowTo.net

Michael Jackson's This Is It!

Today we went to see Michael Jackson's This Is It.

Now I understand why he was the King of Pop! The hard work, the commitment and the dedication to perfection is for all to see. He personally sees all the details that waqs required for his concert.

Man, the world has been deprived of one heck of a concert! It would have been something different and out of the world experience for everybody. He really sets the standards for on stage performance. The ideas, the creativity is just a joy to watch. You could see how passionate he was about music, about the planet and his message of LOVE.

I personally feel that after watching 'This Is It', MJ is definately the ultimate passionpreneur. He is a classic example of someone using his passion to provide wonderful music and making fantastic income. In fact just from royalties, MJ was earning about USD84 million a year! It really pays to do what you LOVE.

From MJ's lead I can say that in order to become a successful passionpreneur you need to have the following 3 criteria;

1. A passion for something. In MJ's case, it was music and entertaining people. In his own words he said that the performance was for his fans. In fact he was so passionate, even during rehearsals he would sing his heart out even though he knew he had to conserve his energy. In short whatever you are passionate about, put your heart into what you love to do!

2. You must be committed. MJ was at every practice session. Every shoot. Every dance session. He was there. He did not rely on anybody else. I guess that is why he has managed to always make his concerts different & special.

3. Give close attention to detail. Observe the small, small things as they add up. MJ is very detail. He can detect the tone. He know when the lights should come up. When the music should stop, when to take it to the next level. Everything is important to him. We need to have that same attention to detail.

MJ you will truly be missed. You are truly a leader and you have left behind a great legacy.
